Langhe Country House: ospitality through the hills and collaboration on the territory

In the heart of the Langhe, in Neive, lies Langhe Country House: a welcoming property nestled among vineyards, where the slow pace of the countryside meets comfort and attention to detail.

This is a carefully renovated 19th-century farmhouse, where the charm of rural architecture has been preserved and enhanced: exposed stone, wooden beams, and original details coexist harmoniously with modern and refined spaces, designed to offer an authentic yet comfortable welcome.

The property has seven rooms, each with its own unique identity and character, designed to offer guests a unique experience, yet united by an elegant style consistent with the local area.

Outside, a large garden surrounds the farmhouse, offering spaces for quiet and relaxation, while the swimming pool overlooks the hilly landscape, making it the ideal place to enjoy warmer days immersed in nature.

Completing the experience is an intimate and curated spa, which can be reserved for exclusive use for moments of total relaxation, but is also accessible to external guests who wish to treat themselves to a regenerating break in the heart of the Langhe.

We chatted with owners Nadia and Alessandro about hospitality, wine, and the meaning of experiencing the Langhe with authenticity every day.

Because for us, wine is never just in the glass: it’s made up of places, people, and collaborations that grow together.

How did Langhe Country House come about, and what is your hospitality philosophy?
Langhe Country House was born from the restoration of an old farmhouse, the “Podere Palaretto,” dating back to the late 19th century. It was   renovated respecting the original structure and using traditional Piedmontese materials.

The idea that clearly emerges, both from the website and the interior materials, is to share the authentic charm of the Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato with guests through personalized, discreet, and very practical hospitality: attention to detail and genuine assistance in organizing their stay.

What role does wine play in the experience you offer your guests?
For us, wine is not just a tasting: it is a common thread throughout the experience.

The Langhe area is a top-notch food and wine destination, with winery tours and experiences tied to local traditions. In our welcome materials, wine is a key part of the stay, from the welcome glass to the bottle in your room, to the wine cellars with a selection of Piedmontese reds, whites, and sparkling wines.

Even in the SPA, wine is a defining element, along with hazelnuts and rosemary produced on the farm.

Is there a Francone wine that you feel particularly linked to your Agriturismo? Why?
There are lots, but surely your Barbaresco Gallina.

First, because Langhe Country House is in Neive, so in the hearth of the landscape and the culture of the Barbaresco area. In addition to that, Francone is one of the winery we advise to our guest, with the Classic Tasting offered, and is in our wine-menu.

On a sensitive level, it is a wine that we feel aligned to because it has a territorial identity, elegance and deepness without the need of exaggerating: like our hospitality, refined but not set.

What kind of atmosphere do you experience during a spring weekend in the Langhe?
Spring is bright, fresh, and full of a desire to feel good.

A stay in the Langhe includes walks through the vineyards, hiking, cycling, wineries, historic villages, and moments of relaxation immersed in the landscape; plus a swimming pool overlooking the Nebbiolo vineyards and a private spa designed for a detox and regenerating break.

In short: a spring weekend with us is all about green hills, open-air drinks, soft light, and finally a slower pace.

If you had to describe the Langhe in three words, which one would you choose?
We would choose: beauty, flavour, and tranquillity. Beauty for the views and villages, flavour for the strong connection with local wine and cuisine, and tranquillity for that sense of slow, authentic well-being that continually recurs in our philosophy of life.

What are Langhe Country House’s strong points?
The real highlight, in our opinion, is the balance between the authenticity of the location and the attentive care of our guests.

You’ll find the historic farmhouse, lovingly restored, the rooms designed with comfort and design in mind, the wood-burning fireplaces, the breakfast featuring local and locally sourced products, the panoramic pool, the exclusive spa with Turkish bath, herbal sauna, and emotional shower.

Above all, the ability to guide guests around the area with expert advice on restaurants, wineries, and experiences.

You can come to us for a holiday, to rediscover yourself and free yourself from burnout, to discover the authentic Langhe but, above all, here at Langhe Country House everyone is welcome!
