New year...new vintages. The first ones, which "inaugurate" the year are Barolo and Barbaresco Riserva
New year in the winery always means the realese of new vintages; in fact, now it is time for Barolo 2018 and Barbaresco Riserva 2017, two great wines, the king and queen of the Langhe tradition.
The 2018 vintage, thanks to a balanced and traditional season, has given our Barolo softness, round and velvety tannins and a soft acidity. It is an already enjoyable Barolo, but of course you can also settle it in your cellar and let it rest for many more years.
On the other hand, the 2017 vintage was warmer and drier than 2018, and the harvest took place much earlier in the last days of September. Thanks to the wonderful terroir of the ancient Fausoni vineyard from which it comes, the strong tenacity and classicism of our Barbaresco Riserva are guaranteed, both in the aromas and in the great structure and aging capacity. Only 3505 bottles, 50 Magnums and 5 big 5-liter sizes produced.
